Week 4, Part 2, Chilli.

We will have to write about chilli now. I mean, not just about chilli as we all learned about juxtaposition this week. Well yeah, we will have to write a passage or a poetry about love based on the chilli above. Pretty catchy ehh? This is the best poetry I can give as I am not a good writer myself. Just enjoy ;

Your love for me is hot and spicy as you know it,
oh chilli, yes, chilli, that's how I can resemble your love,
red! wow! spicy red! sexy red! that's it!
how I can not live without your love,
because your love IS as hot as chilli as it is! :D

Week 4, Juxtaposition

Okay, based on my scribbled notes in my notebook, juxtaposition means placing two variable side by side and their contrast or similarity are shown through comparison. For example,  I preferred hot summer days; he preferred the winter.

While analogy thinks the other way. Two or more similar things agree in some respect. And is a comparison of two things that are essentially dissimilar but are shown through the analogy that makes them have some similarity. There are two types of analogy; logical analogy (eg; a bird can be compared to an aeroplane because both have wings), affective analogy (eg; the girl is playful as monkey)

Okay whatever, well, this week we did some exercise ( urmm, I think we did exercise like every week) but this time is a bit interesting. :)

Exercise 1 :

Step 1 ;

GroupA;

1. flower,
2. lightning,
3. ice,
4. light,
5. fire,
6. duck,
7. dog,
8. oil,
9. leave,
0. fly.

Group B;

0. head,
9. rain,
8. wood,
7. tree,
6. spider,
5. root,
4. mountain,
3. wind,
2. rock,
1. water.

Step 2 ; choose any three pair of number.

24, lightning and mountain
15, flower and root
06, fly and spider

Step 3 ; make a simple sentence with the words above and draw them.

24, lightning and mountain ; the lightning strikes that huge mountain yesterday.

15, flower and root ; that flower came from the big root.

06, fly and spider ; that bird flew down to eat the spider.

Step 4 ; Pair them up and visualize them again.

24, lightning mountain;

15, flowerroot;

06, flyspider ;

Exercise 2: How mergers go wrong?

This is a picture of an elephant combined with a duck. This particular combined animal doesn't even exist. Well yea of course because this animal won't be able to survive as the elephant is too heavy and too big as the body and the feet are from the duck. It'll squash it.

Week 3, Part 2; Mortar and Pestle.

This is the original mortar and pestle. The one that we use for making sambal belacan and stuff like that. We normally use it in the kitchen. Unless if you are abnormal, you use it for other purposes. And yes, that is our task for this week. What will be the uses for this particular kitchen tool called mortar and pestle in another like 10000 years in the future? Uuuhh, how I love this task. :D

Well, as for me, Amiza Sulaiman, I have come with some ideas based on the mind map that Mr. Radzi Bedu gave us on what will be the uses of the mortar and pestle in the future. :) Enjoy.

As a WEAPON; yes, this particular tool can maybe a weapon in the future. You will never know. :) This thing somehow needs strategy. Well, first, you will have to put the mortar at some place that will make your enemy trip when you hit them with the pestle. :) When the enemy falls down, hit them more with the weapon you have in your hand, the pestle. You can also hit them with the mortar if you want. :)

Next, as a DIET tool. Erm, I'm not actually into this idea much but its kinda cool. I admit the drawing is ugly but, what the heck. This is how it works, the person who want to get skinny in a fast way just have to lay down with his/ her back on the mortar. Ouch, that hurts. Then the other person (okay I forgot to say that this method need two person) have to drag the pestle all over the patient's stomach. Until it gets red like RED! Do this like three times a week, and you'll be as slim as you want to. :) (Eh, I just realized that this method also can be  a torturing tool. Cool)

Last but not least, GAME. It's a simple game. Very very simple game. Yes, as you can see by the drawing above, you will have to just stand on the mortar on one leg. Well, that is just too easy. You will also have to balance yourself with a pestle standing on you! How's that? This game can be played with two or more person. But like they all said, the more the merrier ehh? :D

Well, I think that's about it  then. There are loads of ideas in my head, most of them are kind violence ideas. HEHE. Sory about that. Okay then, before I end up crapping, I should just put a fullstop for this. See you. :)

Week 3, Mind Mapping.

This week we learned about mind mapping. Somehow I just knew that there are two types of mind mapping. One, is the logical mind map. This is not suitable for idea generation. It consist of image and also words or even signs. Second, is the associated mind map. and yes, this one is suitable for generating your ideas. mind map is a diagram used to represent wordsideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. Mind maps are used to generatevisualizestructure, and classify ideas, and as an aid to studying and organizing information, solving problemsmaking decisions, and writing.

Alright. Here it goes, we need to do mind map because somehow our brain is not linear. Like by what our lecturer said, Mr. Radzi Bedu, our memories are kinda like a drawer full of what we have been through. Not all, as our brain can't install all of the memories that are not constantly doing it. What am I saying? Nevermind that. Let's just proceed with what the idea of mind mapping is eh?

Our brain have two side; the left side and also the right side. Based on research, the left brain only thinks logically. While the right brain thinks creatively. And obviously, we, also have the ones who uses mostly the left side, and of course some who uses the right side. By using mind map, we will gain ideas as we automatically uses both side of our brain. This will also regain back our memories.

This is an example of a mind map that my friend, Juey, made in our class.

Week 2, Google Guys OR Bill Gates. hmm.

Well, for this week we will have to write either about the Google guys (Larry Page and Sergey Brin) or Bill Gates. If you ask me, I would chose to write about the guy who created the Microsoft, Bill Gates. :)

William Henry "BillGates III, who is well known by just the name of Bill Gates and also the creator or should I say the owner/ chairman of Microsoft! oh yeah, he's rich alright. :) I mean, well, he is one of the richest human being on earth right? Here I am, in front of my laptop writing a post on how he, Bill Gates, become so success.

"I failed in some subjects in exam ,  but my friend passed in all. Now he's an engineer of Microsoft and I'm the owner of Microsoft." - Bill Gates.

What he's trying to say is falling down once doesn't make you a loser. Just get back up again. And if you fall again, just keep on trying to get on your feet. Never ever give up. You'll never know what is waiting for us ahead.

Week 1, lntroduction; What is Creativity?

'Creativity'. There a lot of definition for ceativity depends on the person. Every each person have their own understanding of creativity. Creativity is something that a person did as it is as originally from his/ her ideas. Well, based on wikipedia. "Creativity refers to the phenomenon whereby a person creates something new (a product, a solution, a work of art etc.) which has some kind of value. What counts as "new" may be in reference to the individual creator, or to the society or domain within which the novelty occurs. What counts as "valuable" is similarly defined in a variety of ways." Creativity also can be understand by the new generations of ideas or a new way of doing things. In other word, originality.

"Education kills creativity" ? Is this true? Well, I think it is true though. Education do kill our creativity. It somehow make us this so stereotypically.

"I define creativity as the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing. Innovation is the production or implementation of an idea. If you have ideas, but don't act on them, you are imaginative but not creative." - Linda Naiman.

"Creativity is the process of bringing something new into being...creativity requires passion and commitment. Out of the creative act is born symbols and myths. It brings to our awareness what was previously hidden and points to new life. The experience is one of heightened consciousness-ecstasy."
- Rollo May

Well, like i said, there are a lot of understanding and concept due to what is creativity. You could just ask every single human being in this beloved planet of ours asking them what is creativity and trust me, you will get many different answers from them. Including me and yourself. Oh and yea, as for me, creativity is how you think in your own ways. How you create things, think, do things, in your own ways! Its not just creating new stuffs makes you creative. It is also how you do things. So yeah, that's about it for creativity. See you next time in my next post! :)
